Calling all Potterheads! In case you haven’t yet, this should be in your list of next places to see!
Seriously, my husband and I are not the type of folks you would usually see at restaurants and cafes. We are not easily enticed by Starbucks branches popping up near us, or restaurants offering unique delicacies. The only time I would spend hours in a café is when I am meeting someone, or get really starving while on the road. Call us boring but we prefer home-cooked meals even for date nights. We would try new recipes by ourselves now and then and take pride in those little accomplishments, all in the comforts of our home.
But this is a different story. Ever since we heard about The Witches Brew Diners and knowing that it is not that far from where we live, we have always put it in our list of next places to visit.
I have been introduced to the amazing wizarding world of Harry Potter back in high school and I have never stopped loving everything about it since. As a matter of fact, one of my biggest dreams in this mortal life is to visit the Universal Studios in Orlando where the magical Harry Potter Theme Park is situated. To add to that, I have also recently watched the Game of Thrones series and absolutely loved every character and every land in it as well. I have just started reading the books so that I could better know and understand the story behind.
That is why I feel like betraying my friends in Hogwarts and my Lords and Ladies up in the North by not visiting the first Harry Potter/Game of Thrones-themed bistro in the Philippines sooner.
So came one Friday when our work schedules were not in the way and a babysitter was available, we finally took the trip.
The Witches Brew Diners is situated in what I thought was a private village in Sucat, Paranaque. When we came, we were greeted by a friendly staff who thankfully gave in to all my fangirling requests. We started with the Game of Thrones theme on the second floor.
My King, sitting on the throne that he so deserves! *cheeseballs!
When we called to order food, I laughed at some of the witty names of the food in their menu. I ordered Cersei’s Salad while my husband ordered The White Walker (carbonara). We had Dragonsblood (strawberry yoghurt smoothie) and Kingslanding’s Delight (raspberry yoghurt smoothie–so yummy by the way!) for drinks. Just when I was writing this post, I hated myself for forgetting to order Butterbeer at that time. Oh well. Something to look forward to during our next visit!
We loved everything about this restaurant and would totally recommend to all Potterheads out there!
